The Salem Center for Medicine, Endocrinology, and Diabetes
opened its doors on March 5th, 1979. Starting off with only an 800 Sq. Ft. office has now grown to an office that is 7,000 Sq. Ft. over the last 39 years. Our private office is the first HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) in North Carolina and specializes in internal medicine and endocrinology. Also since 1998, we can proudly say that we are certified and accredited by the American Diabetes Association.
We know how overwhelming and impersonal it can be when trying to get help. We opened our private office with that in mind. We wanted to develop close relationships with our patients. That way you can be comfortable seeing any one of our doctors. We believe in having honest conversations between our educators, doctors and patients. We know that if you are seeing different people in different buildings it is definitely hard to open up. This could make it hard for you to fully take control of managing your health. You can be at ease knowing that we are a family owned office and when you visit you will be taken care of like family!
